I’ve been working with Aubrey for a little over two years now. I am a remote athlete and we do much of our communication by email, text or phone conversations. I often refer to myself as the regular athlete as I am not as fast as others that he coaches but I certainly have my own goals. Despite this, Aubrey makes no distinction between my ability and faster athletes since to him I am another athlete on the team. He has been very helpful in forcing me to understand what it means to listen to my body, both pushing it farther when necessary as well as dialing it back when I need more rest. The results over the last two years have been significant. I just completed a half ironman and was able to hit my target bike pace for the 56 miles. This was quite an accomplishment for me as I balance work, motherhood and many solo weeks as a parent. Aubrey is able to understand the nuances in my life and work them into a training schedule that not only will help get me closer to my goals, but one that is manageable and fun. I am a better athlete as a result of his coaching and guidance. He also has a wealth of information regarding nutrition, which is beneficial for any athlete but especially those involved in endurance sports. I look forward to reaching a few more goals this year under his guidance and would certainly recommend Aubrey as a coach, whether you are local and can attend weekly sessions or a remote athlete.
